For Writers

Publishers are aloof

How Publishers want you to perceive them…..

Before there were fields of dreams, some one had to bust the sod.

Publishers have long been an aloof unapproachable tower reminiscent of the Great and All Powerful OZ.

First, they want writers with ‘a following’. This is like telling a kid fresh out of school they need two years of experience before you’ll hire them. Welcome to Catch-22. God forbid they show ambition and ‘self-publish’.

Cleveland Writers Press grew out of listening to hundreds of good works, and knowing that if we build the FARM SYSTEM, a new generation of writers will come.
